Refashion Runway: Season Two

I'm so excited to have been chosen as a contestant for season two of Refashion Runway!  Beth, a.k.a The Renegade Seamstress, is hosting the friendly sewing competition.  I followed along last time and had fun voting for my favorites.  Now, as a contestant, I'm excited and nervous!  As a side note, a few months back I made a commitment to myself to not buy anymore articles to refashion (at least for a while.)  So, that personal commitment is still in force, which means each weekly challenge is going to have to be completed with items I already have at home.  That should make it interesting!  If you'd like to sew along, the challenges are as follows:

Week One: Plaid
Week Two: Pantone 2013 Color Emerald Green
Week Three: Peplum
Week Four: Leather
Week Five: Halloween
Week Six: Winter White

Well, I better get busy!

  1. Oh yes, this is going to be interesting. I am too not buying anything to compete!!! Good luck!

  2. Pardon my ignorance, but I am new to the refashioning blog scene....what is Pantone 2013?

    1. According to the Pantone website: "Pantone LLC is the world-renowned authority on color and provider of color systems and leading technology for the selection and accurate communication of color across a variety of industries. The PANTONE® name is known worldwide as the standard language for color communication from designer to manufacturer to retailer to customer."

Each year they choose a "color of the year." This year it happens to be Emerald.

  3. Thanks Susan! Obviously I'm not in on color industries! I didn't know what the company did. :-)

Emerald, huh? I was thinking I might try to do the sew-along, but I haven't done too many refashions. I have a plaid shirt I've been wanting to make over, but nothing emerald.....

Looking forward to seeing what you all do! Love your blog.

  4. Oh, this will be fun! Can't wait to see your clever refashions! Good luck :)

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I appreciate the feedback and always look forward to reading what you have to say! Susan
